National Family Literacy Month!

Embrace the power of words and the joy of learning as we celebrate National Family Literacy Month! In November, it was national family month.  National Family Literacy Month is a designated time to highlight and promote the importance of literacy within families. The month-long observance typically takes place in November and serves as an opportunity to encourage families to engage in activities that promote reading, learning, and literacy skills together.

During National Family Literacy Month, we asked our family and friends to participate and showcase their family activities to emphasize the benefits of family literacy. By highlighting the importance of family literacy, the goal is to create a culture where reading and learning become integral parts of family life. At the end of this month, members will also donate children’s books to a local Head Start facility within the tri-local parishes.
